Broiled Pineapple with Cinnamon

Bromelain the main ingredient in Pineapple is an anti inflammatory agent and with Vitamin C,Calcium carbonate, and Magnesium. There are many benefits to be reaped. Cooked Pineapple is easier to digest.

Cinnamon increases insulin action and helps with Type 2 diabetes. It helps dry dampness in the body and warms people that are always cold and suffering from poor circulation. Cinnamon is an antiseptic that helps kill bacteria which cause tooth decay and gum disease., hence many tooth pastes are cinnamon flavoured. Cinnamon is an antioxidant. Last but not the least it helps calm the stomach and is an excellent digestive tonic.Pacifies Vata dosha and Pitta dosha.

Ingredients

2 cups Pineapple (cored and sliced into rounds)

1 tsp Cinnamon

Directions

Adjust oven rack to the top, closest to the broiler. Set oven to high broil.

Place pineapple slices on a foil-lined baking sheet and sprinkle both sides with cinnamon.

Broil in oven for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway. Watch closely for burning as oven temperatures may vary.

Remove from oven and enjoy!
